These can be practiced when you're feeling like you want to work on a certain area of the body maybe to help with loosening out or strengthening in that area. There is a section with YOGA FULL BODY SEQUENCES. These practices can be done when you'd like to target the whole body. There are 3 separate sequences ranging from 45 to 50mins for beginners and 3 sequences ranging from 35 to 45mins for anyone who has a little more experience in yoga practice. The third meditation is for when you've suffered a disappointing loss and you'd like to reflect and get yourself back on track.

  • Are there times when I should or shouldn't practice yoga?

Before you do any yoga practice you should consult with your doctor/physician to make sure it's ok for you to practice yoga. Do not practice yoga if you are feeling unwell or if you are injured. It's good practice to wait 2-3 hours after your last meal before you do a yoga practice. It is important that you never watch or listen to the videos or meditations in this package whilst driving or operating machinery. Do not practice the yoga videos if pregnant.

  • Do I need any special equipment to practice yoga?

You will need a yoga mat, one that has a good grip.. For some of the practices you might be advised to have a strap/scarf , a blanket or a yoga block/brick.

  • What should I wear when practicing yoga?

It's a good idea to wear clothing that is comfortable with a stretchy fabric when practicing yoga. E.g. leggings, tracksuit, t-shirt. Also, generally yoga is practiced in the bare feet. But you might discover some poses that you'd like to do after your time on court, post match or hitting session. In these cases you don't need to be in your bare feet. But I encourage barefoot practice where possible.

Why I created this package

I have merged two of my major passions in life to create this unique offering, YOGA FOR TENNIS. Yoga has helped me keep my body supple, strong and injury free for over 2 decades now. I have maintained the range of motion in my joints that I had when I was playing tennis full time. Yoga not only helps me physically but mentally and emotionally as well. I have experienced first hand the many benefits of yoga and I know these benefits can help so many tennis players as well.
